Provisional Psychologist

We are delighted to be partnering with a trusted client in the Perth metro area in their search for a Provisional/ Registered psychologist to join their team with full-time & part-time options. The clinic provides Neurodevelopmental Assessments & Mental Health Services for children, adolescents and their families.

As a Provisional Psychologist, you will play a pivotal role in conducting neurodevelopmental assessments for children and adolescents. Your responsibilities will extend to implementing evidence-based interventions tailored to individualised plans, aiming to support both the patients and their families who utilise our services.

Essential Criteria:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, accompanied by relevant registration with AHPRA
  • Proven experience (at least 1 year) in conducting ASD & ADHD assessments, diagnosing mental health disorders, and providing psychotherapy to individuals, groups, or families
  • Proficiency in the application of diverse therapeutic modalities, including but not limited to cognitive-behavioural therapy (CBT), psycho dynamic therapy, mindfulness-based approaches, and solution-focused therapy
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, essential for effective interaction with patients, families, and colleagues
  • Ability to function effectively within a multi-disciplinary team environment, while also demonstrating autonomy when necessary
  • Dedication to continuous professional development, staying abreast of advancements within the field

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Conduct psychological assessments for emotional, cognitive & behavioural functioning
  • Develop personalised treatment plans and monitor progress throughout, adjusting treatment strategies when necessary
  • Lead individual, group or family therapy sessions
  • Offer crisis intervention and support for patients in acute psychological distress or emergencies
  • Collaborate with other clinicians to ensure coordinated care and holistic treatment approaches
