Youth Access Clinician- DIDO permanent position!

We are seeking a youth access clinician on a permanent part-time basis to join a leading provider in youth mental health support services. The organization prides itself on supporting young people aged 12-25, supporting them to thrive in their community.

The position is 3 days per week drive-in drive-out from Perth. Working Tuesday- Thursday in their centre outside Perth (1 hour 15 mins distance) with accommodation provided and living away from home daily allowance.

The role:

  • Provide short-term counselling and brief intervention to young people
  • Work within a multi-disciplinary team to support the individual, family and wider circle
  • Refer patients to other suitable services when required
  • Provide psycho-social assessment and intervention
  • Maintain accurate case notes and records

Essential requirements

  • Tertiary level qualifications in psychology, social work, occupational therapy, counselling or mental health nursing
  • Relevant professional registration with AHPRA / AASW / ACA
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience working in a clinical setting
  • Experience in psycho-social assessment and suicide risk assessments
  • Experience working with vulnerable groups
  • C class drivers license and access to a reliable vehicle
