Seeking a Level 2 Occupational Therapist to join the Allied Health Team in the Adult Inpatient Mental Health Services.

About the role:

An exciting opportunity to join a well-established public hospital as an Occupational Therapist.

Your role as an Occupational Therapist will include, but not limited to:

  • Conduct skilled clinical assessments and delivering individual and group based interventions to patients presented with moderate to severe illness.
  • The adult inpatients facility holds 40-beds and also a 6 bed inpatient unit in the ED.
  • Extended for further mental health assessments and/or treatment initiation.
  • The hospital offers a 10 bedroom low dependency unit for patients with a lower risk of behavioural disturbances.
  • Be part of a leading teaching hospital based in the heart of the capital of our country.

What’s on offer:

  • Salary between $70.5k – $97k per annum, with a view point to increase in the next financial year + super + salary packaging.
  • Access to annual professional development funding of up to 2% of annual salary after 12 months of service
  • Reimbursement of relocation expenses for interstate candidates.

Requirements:

  • Be registered or eligible for general registration with AHPRA
  • Minimum 12 months of paid work experience, post qualification, in a related/relevant organisation
  • Current Full drivers Licence
  • Undergo all pre-employment checks inclusive of National Police Check, WWCC and proof of ID and Qualifications
  • Comply with the Health Services Occupational Assessment, Screening and Vaccination Policy
  • Proven ability to provide clinical assessment and interventions for mental illness and psychological dysfunctions in an adult acute inpatient setting
  • Understand the principles and delivery of the Mental Health services standards
  • Work effectively as part of a multi-disciplinary team
