What you will do:
In this role you will be caring and mentorship to Children and Young People aged 12-17 years living in residential care 24/7. Some of the tasks you will be involved in are:
- Assisting with daily routines, personal care and meals, completion of housekeeping tasks, recreational activities, homework supervision and assistance.
- Administering medication
- Transporting the young people to and from school, day programs and appointments.
- Supporting the involvement of families, facilitating and supervising contact visits
- Maintaining high quality record keeping and documentation
Essential Criteria:
- Certificate III/IV in Community Services, Youth Work or Diploma in Community Services
- Current Working with Children Check
- Current NDIS Worker Check
- Current First Aid and CPR Certificate
- National Police Check (issued within 12 months)
- Valid full driver’s licence.
- Comprehensive Car Insurance
- NDIS Worker Orientation Module
- Current Medication administration certificate
- Experience with high challenging behaviours, highly desirable
- The ability to work a mixture of shifts including days, nights, sleepovers, and weekends.
