Nurse Unit Manager – Maternity & Surgical (Women’s Health)
Regional NSW – Private Hospital
Full-Time | Salary in accordance with the 2019 Calvary Health Care Riverina Enterprise Agreement

We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Nurse Unit Manager to oversee both our maternity unit and a general surgical ward with a strong focus on women’s health. With recent changes to our Obstetrics & Gynaecology team, this is a unique opportunity to lead a revitalisation and expansion of our maternity services.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide strategic and operational leadership to both maternity and surgical units
- Collaborate with medical staff, including new O&Gs, to develop and grow maternity services
- Drive quality improvement initiatives and uphold patient safety standards
- Support, mentor and manage a multidisciplinary nursing team
- Foster a culture of excellence, empathy, and patient-centred care
About You
- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse (Midwifery qualifications highly regarded)
- Proven leadership in maternity, women’s health, or surgical ward settings
- Excellent communication, team-building, and service development skills
- Commitment to continuous improvement and high-quality patient care
- Understanding of regional health challenges and passion for community-based care
