Behaviour Support Practitioner Proficient level – Community-based, Perth Metro area

The role

As the Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner, you will work closely with NDIS participants with disability and support workers to deliver quality, person-centred, and customer focused outcomes in an efficient and safe working environment.

The duties and responsibilities of the Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner will include, but not be limited to:

  • Observe and evaluate the effectiveness of programs and review against individual plans and set goals
  • Complete behavioural assessments including functional behaviour assessments and develop evidence based therapy strategies and behaviour support plans
  • Educate, support and liaise with participants, carers, colleagues, medical, nursing, allied health professionals to provide multi-disciplinary care
  • Ensure all documentation is appropriately updated to the clinical standard required by the NDIS
  • Adhere to code of ethics and practices
  • Participate in review meetings and case conferences as appropriate

About you

To be considered for the role, you will be a qualified Behaviour Support Practitioner who has been assessed at Proficient level and have the drive to assist clients in a community-based NDIS setting.
In addition, you will also have:

  • Relevant degree, such as Psychology, Social Work or PSBP qualification
  • Completed BSP training as per NDIS requirements
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills
  • Current police clearance
  • Current WA Working with Children Check and NDIS worker check
  • Current driving licence
  • Full Australian working rights
