Clinical Lead – Social Emotional Wellbeing – Halls Creek, WA

This role is a fixed term contract until June 2025 with a view to extend.

The role

As the Clinical Lead for Social Emotional Wellbeing (SEWB), you will ensure that Indigenous people enjoy physical, social and emotional wellbeing enjoyed by all Australians. You will do this by recognising the impact of past trauma, dispossession, separation of families, on-going social disadvantage and other issues that can impact their wellbeing.

This role is a fixed term contract until June 2025 with a view to extend.

The duties and responsibilities of the Clinical Lead for Social Emotional Wellbeing will include, but not be limited to:

  • Providing clinical advise and direction in the delivery of the SEWB care to clients
  • Provide leadership to the multi-disciplinary team
  • Coordinate and management the treatment of clients mental, emotional and behaviourial symptoms
  • Ensure the delivery of structured, evidence-informed SEWB program for clients, families and the community affected by suicide and/or mental health issues
  • Monitor and manage professional development, external supervision and cultural mentoring for your team
  • Help to develop and implement program policies and procedures
  • Contribute to strategic planning activities for the program

About you

To be considered for the role, you will have at least 5 years’ experience as a Psychologist in a similar role along with:

  • Tertiary Psychology degree
  • Full general registration with AHPRA
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills
  • Current police clearance
  • Current Working with Children Check and NDIS worker check
  • Current driving licence
  • Full Australian working rights
