ABOUT THE POSITION.

In this role, you will provide care and mentorship to children and young people aged 12-17 residing in one of our 24/7 care facilities. These young individuals have faced challenging backgrounds, including experiences of trauma, abuse, neglect, and may also grapple with mental health, physical, or psychosocial disabilities.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Assisting with daily routines, personal care, meal preparation, household chores, recreational activities, homework support, and guidance.
Administering medications.
Safely transporting young people to and from school, day programs, and appointments.
Facilitating and overseeing contact visits, promoting family involvement.
Maintaining meticulous records and documentation of your work.

Essential Requirements:

Current Working with Children Check.
NDIS Worker Check.
Current First Aid and CPR certificate
National Police Check within the last 12 months.
Current driver’s license.
Comprehensive car insurance.
NDIS Worker Orientation Module.
Certificate III/IV/Diploma in Community Services.
TCI or PART training (Preferred)
Be fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
Have experience in handling challenging behaviour.
Demonstrate flexibility in working various shifts, including days, nights, sleepovers, and weekends.
