ABOUT THE ROLE
In this role you will be caring and mentoring Children and Young People that have experienced backgrounds of trauma, abuse and/or neglect and may also have a mental health, physical or psychosocial disability. Some of the tasks you’ll be involved in are:
- Assisting with daily routines, personal care and meals, completion of housekeeping tasks, recreational activities, homework supervision and assistance.
- Administering medication
- Transporting the young people to and from school, day programs and appointments.
- Supporting the involvement of families, facilitating and supervising contact visits
- Maintaining high quality record keeping and documentation
Essential Criteria:
- Current Working with Children Check (QLDS)
- Current NDIS Worker Check
- Child Safety and Personal History Screening Check (QLDS)
- Current CPR
- Current First Aid Certificate (Course Code HLTAID003)
- National Police Check
- Current driver’s licence.
- Comprehensive Car Insurance
- Certificate of Completion: NDIS Worker Orientation Module
- To be fully vaccinated against COVID-19
