Job description
A fantastic full-time opportunity has arisen for an (Occupational) Therapy Assistant as follows:
- Servicing South East Queensland, so you can be located in Brisbane, the Sunshine Coast or Gold Coast
- Mobile service based but with two clinics accessible to you. So hybrid working availability!
- Seeking an applicant with prior healthcare experience with a salary package reflective of your background. NDIS experience and exposure desirable but not essential.
- To start as soon as possible
- Full-time hours
- Direct access to external supervisor who will assist in your supervision and training etc
- Clients from various funding models including NDIS, medicare, and NIIS (national insurance injury scheme)
- Access to your own vehicle required (with travel reimbursement provided)
- Role includes the following of a comprehensive assessment that identify the needs, strengths, and goals of NDIS participants (both adult and paediatrics
- Implementing individualised, evidence-based intervention plans focusing on improving participants abilities to perform daily activities, created by the leading Occupational Therapist
- Collaborating with participants, their families, carers, and other professionals to coordinate care and support plans.
- Advocating for participants needs and rights, ensuring their access to appropriate services and supports.
- Monitoring and reviewing participants progress, adjusting intervention plans as necessary to reflect changing needs and goals
- Maintaining accurate and timely documentation of assessments, interventions, and outcomes in accordance with NDIS guidelines and professional standards.
- Required excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with individuals with diverse needs.
- Ability to work independently and as part of an interdisciplinary team
- Required current driver’s license and willingness to travel to participants homes or community settings as required.
- Full working rights to be able to work in Australia
