Registered Nurse – Scrub/Scout

About the Role:
As a Registered Nurse in the perioperative unit, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality, evidence-based care in the operating theatre. You’ll be working closely with a multidisciplinary team to ensure patient safety and optimal surgical outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide patient-centred, evidence-based nursing care in the Scrub/Scout role
- Collaborate effectively with surgeons, anaesthetists, and the broader healthcare team
- Promote and ensure a culture of safety and continuous improvement
- Supervise and support junior staff including ENs and AINs
- Contribute to patient education and post-operative recovery

About You:
You’re an experienced perioperative nurse who thrives in fast-paced environments and values teamwork, safety, and patient advocacy. You bring a proactive attitude and excellent communication skills to every shift.
Essential Criteria:
- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
- Postgraduate qualification in Perioperative Nursing (or working towards)
- Working With Children Check
- Demonstrated commitment to patient safety and quality care
- Strong clinical decision-making and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Basic computer literacy
