Location: Norfolk Island
Salary: $3,171.89 – $4,068.50 per fortnight (NRG Grade 5)

Join the Norfolk Island Health and Residential Aged Care Service (NIHRACS) – a multi-purpose facility delivering excellence in inpatient, emergency, and aged care services.

Your Role:

You’ll work across emergency, general inpatient, and residential aged care settings, supporting best practices in a small and dynamic clinical team. This is an opportunity to make a real difference in a culturally diverse and tight-knit community.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver holistic, high-quality, evidence-based nursing care
• Lead teams across multiple clinical areas when required
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to enhance patient outcomes
• Champion patient advocacy, safety, and continuous improvement
• Engage in audits, policy development, and professional development
• Respect and adapt to the cultural needs of a diverse island community

Selection Criteria:

• AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
• Strong experience in rural/remote settings, with exposure to aged, general and emergency care (highly desirable)
• ALS and ETEK Triage (or willingness to obtain)
• Culturally responsive, team-oriented and flexible
• Strong digital literacy and understanding of quality and safety frameworks
