About the Role
An exciting opportunity exists for a dynamic and experienced Perioperative Services Manager to lead and inspire our high-performing surgical services team at a major private hospital on the stunning Gold Coast.
Reporting directly to the Director of Clinical Services, you will be responsible for the strategic and operational leadership of our 21-theatre perioperative suite, encompassing Pre-Admission, Anaesthetics, Scrub/Scout, Recovery (PACU), and CSSD departments.
This is a pivotal role in ensuring high-quality, patient-centred care while driving continuous improvement and innovation across surgical services.


Key Responsibilities

  • Provide visionary leadership and effective management of perioperative services across all 21 operating theatres
  • Oversee clinical governance, quality improvement, and risk management initiatives
  • Develop and maintain strong multidisciplinary relationships to support excellence in patient outcomes
  • Manage departmental budgets, staffing, resource allocation, and theatre efficiency
  • Champion staff engagement, training, and professional development
  • Ensure compliance with national standards and accreditation requirements

About You
You are an experienced nurse leader with a passion for surgical excellence and a commitment to safe, evidence-based practice. You thrive in a fast-paced environment and bring a collaborative leadership style that inspires and motivates multidisciplinary teams.
Essential Criteria:

  • Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
  • Extensive perioperative nursing experience with demonstrated leadership in a similar management role
  • Postgraduate qualifications in Perioperative Nursing and/or Health/Business Management (desirable)
  • Proven ability to lead high-performing teams and manage large-scale theatre operations
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Sound financial and resource management experience
