CLINICAL SOCIAL WORKER – LOCUM

THE ROLE

Salary: $60 – $70 per hour depending on experience, plus Superannuation, plus Salary Packaging

Location: Wangaratta, Victoria

Hours: Full Time. Monday – Friday

Contract: 3 months with possibility of extension

Accommodation and Travel: Provided

Social Workers are here to support you, your family and loved ones during and after your stay in hospital. We are currently looking for a Clinical Social Worker with Australian hospital experience who can hit the ground running. Working within an inpatient setting, you will be required to have experience in crisis, NDIS, RACF and VCAT. The role is based within the admittance space (ED, Acute/Medical, Surgery, Maternity, Paeds, ICU) and will initially be a 3 month locum contract.

As well as the above, you must also be able to: provide a range of services such as:

• Social/emotional assistance
• Income support information
• Information about, and referral to, appropriate services in the community
• Counselling for grief and loss and for adjustment to injury/illness and anxiety
• Information and support for carers
• Being a communication link for families with the hospital system

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA

• Bachelor Degree in Social Work
• AASW eligibility or AASW Registration
• Previous Australian hospital experience
• Experience working in an inpatient/admittance setting
• National Police Check or willingness to obtain one
• Working With Children’s Check or willingness to obtain one
• Other compliance requirements as requested, such as immunisation history
• Covid-19 vaccinated
