ABOUT THE POSITION.

In this role, you will provide care and mentorship to children and young people aged 12-17 residing in one of our 24/7 care facilities. These young individuals have faced challenging backgrounds, including experiences of trauma, abuse, neglect, and may also grapple with mental health, physical, or psychosocial disabilities.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assisting with daily routines, personal care, meal preparation, household chores, recreational activities, homework support, and guidance.
• Administering medications.
• Safely transporting young people to and from school, day programs, and appointments.
• Facilitating and overseeing contact visits, promoting family involvement.
• Maintaining meticulous records and documentation of your work.

Essential Requirements:

• Current Working with Children Check.
• NDIS Worker Check.
• Current First Aid and CPR certificate
• National Police Check within the last 12 months.
• Current driver’s license.
• Comprehensive car insurance.
• NDIS Worker Orientation Module.
• Certificate III/IV/Diploma in Community Services.
• TCI training (Preferred)
• Be fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
• Have experience in handling challenging behaviour.
• Demonstrate flexibility in working various shifts, including days, nights, sleepovers, and weekends.
