In this role you will provide care and mentorship to children and young people with medium to high needs in foster care settings to aide their transition to independent living


  • Provide support, supervision and care with daily activities, personal care, meals, and homework. Ensuring the safety of the young people is maintained.
  • Transport the young people to and from school, day activities, scheduled visits, appointments or meet any daily transporting requirements.
  • Administering medication
  • Support the involvement of families, facilitating and supervising contact visits while maintaining, updating and, writing reports as required.
  • Liaise with other staff and relevant professionals.
  • Follow guidelines, policies, and procedures in implementing behaviour intervention strategies.

Essential Criteria:

  • Relevant qualification in Youth Work or Community Services, or any other relevant tertiary qualifications.
  • Valid Driver’s Licence and Comprehensive Car Insurance.
  • Current NSW Working with Children Check, NDIS Worker Check ,NDIS Worker Orientation Module, Current First Aid , CPR Certificate and a National Police Check within the last 12 months.
  • Ability to work casual hours and a mixture of shifts including days, nights, sleepovers, and weekends.
