Speech Pathologist – Bunbury, WA
The company
You will be joining a not-for-profit organisation who specialises in providing support and therapy services to their clients across WA who are living with various neurological conditions such as MS, stroke, Parkinson’s disease, Huntington’s disease, MND and many more.
Joining a multi-disciplinary team who service clients across the Perth metro and regional areas of WA, you will working with therapists who are passionate about providing the right care to people across the state.
The role
As the Speech Pathologist, you will work closely with your NDIS clients to assess, develop and implement therapeutic interventions to help them achieve their communication goals.
The duties and responsibilities of the Speech Pathologist will include, but not be limited to:
- Provide assessment, intervention and evaluation for NDIS participants
- Provide speech pathology clinical practice in direct care delivery through application of evidence-based practice and policy
- Educate, support and liaise with participants, carers, colleagues, medical, nursing, allied health professionals to provide multi-disciplinary care
- Ensure all documentation is appropriately updated to the clinical standard required by Speech Pathology Australia and the NDIS
- Adhere to code of ethics and practices
- Participate in review meetings and case conferences as appropriate
About you
To be considered for the role, you will have at least 2 years’ experience in a similar NDIS role along with:
- Tertiary degree in Speech Pathology
- Current and full registration with Speech Pathology Australia
- Excellent communication skills
- Excellent time management and organisational skills
- Current police clearance
- Current WA Working with Children Check and NDIS worker check
- Current driving licence
- Full Australian working rights
