Speech Pathologist – Bayswater, Perth, WA

The company

You will be joining a company who provides the highest quality services to their paediatric and adolescent client, from the age of 0 – 18 years, and their families. They offer effective support that enhances children’s social, language, physical, emotional and behavioural development and learning.

Their multi-disciplinary team includes Psychologists, Speech Therapists, Occupational Therapists and Behaviour Therapists. Their client base is a 50/50 mix of both private practice and NDIS participants. There are 2 clinics in the Midland and Bayswater areas of Perth.

The role

As the Speech Pathologist, you will be working with other Allied Health professionals to support your clients who will be a caseload of both NDIS and private practice clients.

The duties and responsibilities of the Speech Pathologist will include, but not be limited to:

  • Assessing and providing interventions for children & adults living with a range of disabilities
  • Working within the NDIS to maximise clients’ level of function, capacity & social engagement
  • Assisting clients with assistive technology assessment, recommendations and applications (in relevant fields)
  • Timely documentation & report writing
  • Managing a varied caseload
  • Meeting company professional expectations (e.g. meeting billables & effective client management)
  • Attending meetings, supervision & personal development (as required)
  • Building relationships with key stakeholders, including therapists, clients, & referral sources
  • Working across leading software platforms & online tools

About you

To be considered for the role, you will have at least 1 years’ experience in a similar role along with:

  • Degree in Speech Pathology
  • Full registration with Speech Pathology Australia
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills
  • Previous experience in a similar role
  • Current police clearance
  • Current WA Working with Children Check and NDIS worker check
  • Current driving licence
  • Full Australian working rights
