Podiatrist (with a twist!)

Job description

My client is currently seeking Podiatrists with 2-5 years post-graduation experience who would like to foster their own consulting business. They currently have opportunity in each of their clinics across Metro Melbourne, Melton and Geelong.

The Problem

• There is an acute shortage of GP’s in Australia
• Their focus is episodic care and not preventable health or chronic disease management (CDM)
• At least 30% of their work should be CDM – but it is not
• There is not enough emphasis on team care arrangements in general practice
• Most referrals are sent outside the general practices to various Allied Health Professionals offsite
• There is very little attention given to recruiting allied health clinicians to work in the general practice with emphasis on CDM

The Solution

• General Practitioners work closer with Allied Health Practitioners to manage the burgeoning chronic disease in the country
• Allied Health work within the GP clinics fostering a team care arrangement

The Opportunity

My client is working with general practice owners to:

• Expand their team care arrangements with allied health
• Place allied health clinicians inside the general practice or adjacent suites/properties
• Assist them in building their client base via CDM and the relationship with the general practice
• Referral system direct from the general practice

This opportunity is non salaried and is best suited for someone who would like to foster their own consulting business. You will be offered 50% of billings and have the chance to earn up to $140k per year.
