Paediatric Occupational Therapist- Karratha, WA- full time or contract available.

As an Occupational Therapist, you will play a vital role in helping children overcome physical, mental, or developmental challenges to improve their daily living skills.
You will work with patients to develop customised treatment plans, assist them in regaining their independence, and promote overall well-being.

What is in it for you ?
Salary : Full-time positions starting at $75,000- $108,000 annually + Super (dependent on experience)
- Flexible workplace arrangements – 9-day fortnight/rostered days off/part time options
- Additional 1-week leave after 12 months of service

- Scholarships available – on acceptance of applications and dependant on eligibility criteria. Up to $10,000 per annum.
- Structured clinical supervision – regular line management supervision, regular clinical supervision, peer supervision, multi/trans-disciplinary training workshops every 6 weeks, plus weekly whole team meetings.

As a Occupational Therapist responsibilities will include:
All therapists are responsible in encouraging a positive team culture, where innovation and participation in service improvement in a safe, supportive and efficient environment is advanced.
- Conducting assessments to determine patient’s physical, cognitive, and emotional abilities and limitations
- Developing customised treatment plans based on patient’s needs and goals.
- Assisting patients in improving their daily living skills, such as dressing, eating, and bathing
- Providing therapy to help patients regain strength, dexterity, and range of motion
- Evaluating and recommending adaptive equipment and assisting technology to improve patient’s abilities
- Collaborating with multi-disciplinary team and caregivers to ensure patients receive comprehensive care
- Educating patients and their families on how to safely perform daily activities and prevent injuries
- Documenting patients’ progress and communicating with other healthcare professionals to adjust treatment plans as needed
What we require from you:
- Demonstrated ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team, and as an individual within a team.
- Knowledge of and commitment to family centred practice.
- Experience in the provision of occupational therapy services to people living with disability (desirable)
- Evidence of eligibility for or current full membership of AHPRA.
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check.
- Current WA Working with Children Check.
- Covid-19 Digital Certificate.
- Current C or C-A Class driver’s licence
