Occupational Therapist – Albany, WA
The company
Joining a specialist neurological organisation, you will be supporting your clients in the Albany area who have various conditions including, but not limited to, MS, Parkinson’s disease, Huntington’s disease, MND and Acquired Brain Injury.
Working alongside a multi-disciplinary team, you will liaise with other therapists, clients, families, carers and other stakeholders when required.
The role
As the Occupational Therapist, you will assess, evaluate and support your clients needs.
In addition, as the Occupational Therapist, you will also be responsible for:
- Assess clients to determine suitable interventions and evaluations
- Prescribe appropriate equipment and strategies to clients and families/carers along with relevant training and resources
- Liaise with clients, carers and other stakeholders regarding therapy and interventions
- Working with a multi-disciplinary team
- Provide support to OT students, OT assistants and volunteers, when necessary
- Maintain caseload and ensure that all client records are kept up-to-date
About you
To be considered for the role, you will have at least 2 years’ experience as an Occupational Therapist along with:
- Tertiary degree in Occupational Therapy
- Current and full registration with AHPRA
- Excellent communication skills
- Excellent time management and organisational skills
- Current police clearance
- Full Australian working rights
