Mental Health nurse
Job description
As a mental health nurse in the community, you will have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of those you serve.
You will work closely with patients and their families to provide support, guidance, and treatment for a wide range of mental health conditions.
In this remote location, you will have the opportunity to immerse yourself in the community, build strong relationships with your patients, and gain valuable experience in a unique and challenging environment.
As a Mental Health nurse, your responsibilities will include :
The role of a mental health nurse is to provide compassionate and comprehensive care to individuals with mental health conditions, helping them to achieve the best possible outcomes for their health and wellbeing.
- This includes conducting mental health assessments, developing care plans, and monitoring progress over time.
- Mental health nurses may be responsible for administering medications and treatments prescribed by a psychiatrist or other medical professional.
- Provide individual or group therapy to patients, using a variety of therapeutic techniques to address specific mental health issues.
- Work closely with psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers
- Ensure responsible for ensuring the safety of patients,
- Monitoring for potential harm to self or others and taking appropriate action as needed.
What we require from you :
- APHRA registration
- Minimum 1years experience within sector
- Covid Vaccinations
- Infection Control (Serology)
- Bachelor’s Or Masters
- CBT & ACT experience ideal
- Eligible for WWCC & NPC
