About the role

Salary as per PD classification: Nurse Manager 3 (NM11) + super

The Maternity Services Manager provides operational and clinical leadership, management and strategic direction for all Maternity Services, and works collaboratively with relevant Divisional Clinical & Operational Directors and the Senior Midwife to ensure a high-quality service is delivered to women presenting for maternity care.

The Maternity Unit at GV Health has 1,200 plus deliveries a year and services a growing regional area. The Maternity Unit is inclusive of Birth Suite, Special Care Nursery, Antenatal and In-Home Postnatal Services (Domiciliary and Lactation). The Manager is responsible for ensuring the highest quality care, a sound and sustainable financial position, strong staff engagement and support and effective relationships with the community and consumers of care to meet the complex demands of a busy, progressive Maternity regional health service provider ensuring GV Health missions and values are upheld.

About you

Applicants must meet the necessary criteria outlined below for this position.

• Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse/Midwife
• Minimum of 5 years postgraduate nursing / midwifery experience
• High-level communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills
• Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate, inspire and manage staff
