– Working as a part of our large 30 staff Primary Health team

The Speech pathologist will provide a service within the Primary Health program. This will involve providing speech pathology services to outpatient community clients, acute and aged services and within the early intervention service/NDIS where required.

  • Work closely with the Primary Health Care Manager to ensure that speech pathology services are well managed and provided in a coordinated manner.
  • Provide best practice, evidence based clinical Speech Pathology services across the organisation including coordinating programs and groups, liaising with department managers, advocating the social model of care, and being available for consultation on relevant speech pathology matters.
  • Provision of high quality assessments and interventions to maximise the functional independence, health, safety and quality of life of all patients, clients and residents accessing care.
  • Engages in an ethical and professional manner with clients, family/carers and staff members at all times in accordance with Speech Pathology Australia Code of Ethics

. * Managing clinical caseloads across multiple delivery points within the organisation inclusive of community health, early intervention, aged care, oncology and acute inpatient services. Funding streams include CHP, MBS, NDIS, CHSP
