About the role :
An Enrolled Nurse (EN) is a healthcare professional who works under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) or a medical practitioner. En’s are responsible for providing basic patient care such as administering medication, taking vital signs, and assisting with personal hygiene. They may also perform more complex tasks such as wound dressing, catheterization, and administering intravenous medication under the supervision of a RN or medical practitioner. En’s work in a variety of healthcare settings including hospitals, aged care facilities, and community health clinics. To become an EN, one must complete a diploma of nursing program and be registered with the relevant nursing regulatory body in their jurisdiction.
As an Enrolled Nurse our responsibilities will include:
- Administering medication and monitoring patient response
- Assisting with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Taking vital signs and recording patient observations
- Assisting with diagnostic tests and procedures
- Providing wound care and dressing changes
- Performing basic nursing procedures such as catheterization and oxygen therapy
- Assisting with the development and implementation of patient care plans
- Providing emotional and psychological support to patients and their families
- Communicating with healthcare team members and reporting changes in patient condition
- Maintaining accurate and complete medical records
- Participating in ongoing professional development and training to maintain and improve nursing skills.
What we require from you:
- APHRA registration
- Minimum 12 months experience in nursing
- Flexibility to work full time across shift work.
- Complete required vaccinations,
- Serology evidence of immunisation status
- WWCC & NPC (within 12months)
