**Role Overview:**
As a counsellor, you will play a crucial role in providing counselling services aimed at fostering safe, supportive, and nurturing family relationships. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering counselling services to children, young people, and adults, utilizing evidence-based therapeutic interventions such as family therapy, individual and group counselling.
  • Collaborating with various programs to provide comprehensive support to families.
  • Offering support, information, and referrals to address emotional, social, and economic challenges associated with family relationship disruptions.

**Essential Requirements:**
To excel in this role, you must possess:

  • A relevant degree or associate diploma coupled with substantial experience in counselling, social work, or psychology.
  • Proven experience working with children, young people, adults, and families.
  • Professional registration with AASW/PACFA/ACA or eligibility to obtain membership.
  • Demonstrated cultural competency, particularly in working with Indigenous communities.
  • Australian citizenship or unrestricted working rights.
  • A valid police check conducted within the last 12 months.
  • Working with Children Check (WWCC).
  • A valid driver’s license.
