The role

This role is with one of the leading residential aged care homes on the Central Coast of New South Wales. The facility aims to be the benchmark in quality aged care on the Central Coast with a focus on high quality person-centred care.

About you

Essential criteria:

• Current registration with AHPRA
• Commitment to providing a high standard of customer care and satisfaction
• Excellent interpersonal skills and teamwork
• Excellent oral & written and computer communication skills
• Genuine interest, empathy, and respect for the aged
• Sound knowledge of all nursing & care related aspects of aged care, including clinical assessment, ability to manage complex health care needs and the legislative framework for aged care and accreditation standards
• Ability to supervise and direct the work of clinical staff and coordinate teams to achieve care outcomes
• Knowledge of WHS and quality programs, basic research, and financial management skills
• Satisfactory criminal record history check
• Eligibility to work in Australia

Desirable criteria:

• Postgraduate clinical or management qualifications (or working towards)
• Certificate IV in training and assessment
• Previous aged care experience
• Experience in a management role
