BEHAVIOUR SUPPORT PRACTITIONER

THE ROLE

Salary: $85,000 – $100,000 + Super + Salary Packaging

Location: Cairns or Mackay, QLD

*Hybrid working available*

Provide behaviour support services, to participants funded under the NDIS or through Continuity of Support funding who have complex and challenging behaviours.

As a Behaviour Support Practitioner, you will deliver therapy services within the National Disability Insurance Scheme or other disability-based markets. It is your responsibility to deliver services in line with the National Disability Insurance Scheme (Restrictive Practices and Behaviour Support) and to proactively manage referrals and ensure the behaviour support focuses on person-centred interventions to address the underlying causes of behaviours of concern or challenging behaviours, while safeguarding the dignity and quality of life of people with disability who require specialist behaviour support. In addition, you will also adhere to the relevant legislative, service level agreements or client service delivery standards/expectations.

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA

• Bachelor Degree or Diploma level qualification in a relevant field
• Strong previous experience as a Behaviour Support Practitioner
• Strong background and knowledge of NDIS
• National Police Check or willingness to obtain one
• Working With Childrens Check or willingness to obtain one
• Covid-19 vaccination certificate
