Behaviour Support Practitioner
Job description
Are you a Behaviour Support Practitioner looking for a role where you’ll be part of an award-winning Allied Health team, have room to grow and the support to develop your clinical skills and leadership capabilities?
If yes, this could be the role for you!
You will meet with participants and their support network, conduct assessments and develop behavioural support plans and programs. They will also assist with implementing plans and provide clinical supervision to Behaviour Therapists.
Key responsibilities
- Developing Functional Behavioural Assessments and Positive Behaviour Support Plans
- Providing direct behavioural interventions in individual and group sessions after assessment and diagnosis
- Providing training, support and clinical supervision of Behaviour Support Practitioners/Behaviour Therapists
- Using behavioural, psychological and evidence-based theories to develop and implement program designs and interventions
- Develop and maintaining professional relationships with all key stakeholders
- Adhering to NDIS quality and safeguard commission requirements
Key selection criteria
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Psychology, Social Work, or Counselling.
- Full registration with relevant membership body (AHPRA, ASORC, RCAA).
- Highly developed knowledge & skills in assessment and counselling.
- High level of oral and written communication skills including the demonstrated ability to prepare and finalise technical reports
- Compliance checks including the NDIS Workers Screening Check, National Criminal History Check, WWCC and NDIS Practitioner ID and Self-Assessment. Or meets the requirements of the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission (Positive behaviour Support Capability Framework).
- COVID19 Vaccination Digital Certificate
- Valid Driver Licence
