ACCOUNTS OFFICER

THE ROLE

Salary: $85,000 per annum + Superannuation + Salary Packaging

Hours: Monday – Friday. Full Time. Permanent

Location: Liverpool, Western Sydney

We are looking for an experienced Accounts Officer to join a warm, friendly and close knit team based within a fantastic organisation in Liverpool, Western Sydney. You will be responsible for managing the accounts according to the organisation’s policies and procedures and assisting the CEO, Business and Finance Manager, Accounts Manager, Managers and staff in all matters pertaining to the financial management of the organisation.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage end of month procedures and prepare journals and reconciliations as required by the Accounts Manager;
• Manage fixed asset register from asset acquisition through to disposal and monthly depreciation journal and reconciliations;
• Reconcile monthly PAYG and superannuation and process payments;
• Prepare monthly workings for related party transactions and the associated payments;
• Prepare and manage monthly balance sheet reconciliations;
• Critically review monthly forecast variances and process any adjustments required;
• Preparation of GST and Business Activity Statements, including checking GST transactions, reconciling control accounts and lodgement of returns;
• Maintain chart of accounts including creating new accounts as required by the Accounts Manager and Business and Finance Manager;
• Undertake any ad hoc reporting and analysis as required

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA

• Ideally a Diploma or Degree level qualification in a relevant field
• A minimum of two years relevant finance/accounts experience
• National Police Check or willingness to obtain one
• Working With Children’s Check or willingness to obtain one
• NSW Driver’s Licence
• Covid-19 vaccinated
